We have launched something a little different from our usual guides. Storage Sprint is a free online game built around how Door To Store actually works, delivering flat-pack storage units and building them by hand on site. There is nothing to download, no sign up and no cookies, and there is a £50 Amazon voucher for the top scorer by New Year’s Day.
It started as a fun way to show what we do, and it turned into a proper little arcade game with a real prize on the line. Here is how it works and how to get involved.
What is Storage Sprint?
Storage Sprint is a retro, arcade-style browser game you can play for free on our website. It runs in three quick stages that mirror the real job we do every week, from choosing the right unit and delivering the panels, to building the unit on a driveway and packing it neatly. The whole run takes only a few minutes, so it is easy to pick up and have another go.
How to play
The game moves through three stages:
- Pick and Deliver: read the customer brief, choose the right unit size, then carry the flat-pack panels through to the site, dodging obstacles like cars, skips, bins and the odd dog along the way.
- Build and Defend: position the unit on the driveway, assemble it, then catch the falling gear in a quick reaction round.
- Pack: arrange the items so everything fits neatly inside the unit, then submit your verified score to the leaderboard.
Each stage adds to your total, so a tidy delivery, a clean build and a well packed unit all count towards your final score.
What you can win
The main prize is simple. The top verified score by New Year’s Day wins a £50 Amazon voucher. If two or more players are tied at the very top, the prize is shared between them.
There is also a hidden extra. Score 999 points or more in a single run and you unlock a secret code worth £10 off a real storage order, redeemable at our online checkout. It is one use per order, it cannot be combined with other offers, and the only way to get it is to earn it in the game.
How to enter
Just play. To add your score to the leaderboard you enter a few details with it, and if you finish top we will email the Amazon voucher to that address. The game is open to everyone, there is no purchase necessary, and entrants need to be UK residents aged 18 or over.
Why we built it
The game mirrors the real thing more closely than you might expect. Our units arrive flat-packed and are built by hand on your driveway or site, with no crane and no container lorry, which is exactly why they fit places a shipping container cannot reach. Sizes run from a compact 2x2m up to a roomy 4x6m, so there is an option for a few boxes or the contents of a whole house. Storage Sprint is just a light-hearted way to show how that process comes together.
